Team KOF was in attendance as Harden and adidas Basketball General Manager Kris Aman unveiled 12 new outdoor basketball courts for the school and announced that Harden and adidas are also updating the indoor basketball gymnasium in time for the start of school later this year. There were on-court basketball competitions and games led by some of the sport s top trainers, live musical performances by Rick Ross and Famous Dex, plus food and more for everyone in attendance. Last week we had the privilege of flying out to Las Vegas to attend the 2nd annual adidas Basketball LVL3 event.
That s really the driving force behind what the shoe starts to look like and how it starts to take place, it s always consumer-driven. We need to know what we can improve on from last year s model and how we can make it better. When you look at that process it s really a team process from marketing, design, and development, 18 months back really working together to figure out how we can make last year s version even better. Umm& yeah, yeah, yeah. You adidas eqt re in the early concepts of it yeah definitely. You re already starting to think about it and figure out how you can make it better, how you can up the ante, how you can improve on it. As adidas Basketball and marketing, and design, and development our goal is to make the best product for the athletes that s gonna allow that athlete to go out and perform to the highest level adidas deerupt runner of their ability.
Yeah. So last year we had Primeknit. Primeknit is some of the best technology that adidas has, the kids love it. But really what we wanted to do is we wanted to figure out how to make it better. And talking with kids, kids always wanna be faster and lighter on-court. It s gonna allow them to run faster and jump higher. Forged Primeknit allows us to take away some of the materials and some of the backers that you don t necessarily see on the shoe. On the first version that gave the support needed, we can achieve that type of structure and stability with Forged Primeknit while taking away those materials. So essentially, Forged Primeknit allows us to make the shoe lighter, more breathable, but just as strong.
This year marks the biggest revision yet for the adidas Pure Boost with adidas nmd r1 a brand-new knit upper, revised tongue construction and much more. Normally when you do a sneaker unboxing, you want somebody that s going to be hyped up to open it and talk about what s cool about the shoe and how it s the hottest thing ever (for that weekend s slate of releases). I always keep that in mind when I do these things and usually try to only pick out only pre-release (special edition packages sent by brands or partners notwithstanding) sneakers that I have an interest in.
A few days ago we got this huge box in the mail. We had no idea what it was, we only knew it was something from our good friends over at Champs Sports. We cut open the cardboard box and out comes a huge White box with adidas/NMD and Champs Sports branding on it. I haven t even opened the box yet to see what s inside but the presentation and packaging is already on point. It s the adidas NMD from the new Champs Sports-exclusive adidas Chalk and Olive Pack. Before we get to the shoe, check out the presentation that goes along with the sneakers. You lift open the lid and you will find photographs and negatives showcasing the NMD. In additon, you will find an adidas NMD pencil and notepad where you can write down your visions to help you make them come to life. Pretty dope, right? Now, on to the shoe.
This Champs Sports-exclusive colorway of the adidas NMD comes in a Chalk and Olive color scheme. The NMD comes with a Chalk-colored breathable mesh upper paired up with even more of the korki adidas same hue placed on the laces, eyestay, heel tab/pull tab, and the welded Three Stripes branding on the side panels. The Olive hits provide the contrast and can be found on the EVA inserts placed right on top of the White Boost midsole.
